A Certified Minority Business Enterprise… What It Really Means.

On December 11th, Shapiro+Raj was officially certified as a Minority Business Enterprise, which will allow us to help all our clients achieve their supplier diversity goals and initiatives. 

We’re especially grateful to one of our clients, who encouraged us to pursue this certification – and who offered us the services of their diversity consultant to help us work through the process.  And we’re honored that this certification from NMSDC (National Minority Supplier Developmental Council) makes us the nation’s largest independent MBE certified research company. 

As I reflected on the MBE process and the amount of diligence required to gain this certification, I realized how much I had taken for granted over the past few years.  The huge diversity of the S+R population, the credentials of our team members and the wide range of life and professional experiences.  We are one of those rare research companies that brings a multi-variate set of talents to every project – social scientists, analysts, brand planners, creatives, business operators, and technologists – so we are better able to understand issues and find unique solutions that deliver on true business and marketing objectives.  It’s allowed us to build a new kind of a research agency.  One, that’s led to a lot of success for us, but more importantly by helping our clients consistently improve their odds of success.

An important reason why we were voted as one of the research and insight industry’s most innovative suppliers, debuting at #19 on the 2018 GRIT Top 50 Innovative Companies report.
